The small town of Vík lies 9km east of the hotel. Nestling beneath the mountain and sea cliffs of Reynisfjall it is one of the most attractive settlements in Iceland. From the crest of hill above the church you can gain a fine view of the bay and the famous black sand beach that has been voted one of the world’s top ten. No wonder the puffins come back annually to nest in their cliff top burrows! Other attractions include the Brydebúð folk museum and opportunities for walking or horse riding in the neighbouring countryside.
